Polite Society

My kids, like most, LOVE to play with the spray bottle we use for doing pretty hair. This morning Olivia was the lucky keeper of the spray.
Luke: May I have a drink, Your Majesty?
Olivia: Yes, ooou may, Sir!
Luke: Thank you, Maam!
Olivia: Yup!
I love it!

Hear me Grow!

We were all happily chatting over dinner last night when Luke, in a very paternal voice, instructed us all to, "Be quiet, please! I'm trying to hear myself grow!" After a brief moment of silence, I asked him if he did indeed "hear himself grow" to which he matter-of-factly replied, "Well, it's hard to tell, but I think so."
Little does he know that his dad and I "hear him grow" every day when he uses phrases like, "I am absolutely famished" and as we watch him take care of his little sisters. In fact, just the other day, Livi woke up from her nap and was screeching at the top of her lungs for someone to come help her out of her bed. Ana, excited for a friend after two long hours of playing with "a boy," ran up the stairs to her little sister's aid. Olivia immediately began hollering as loud as her little lungs could for Ana to "Yeev me ayone, Ana!" Sad and dejected, Ana came trooping back down the stairs. Luke looked at me with those big blue eyes and said, "Mom, Livi really loves me. I'll go rescue her!" I could tell the second he walked into Livi's room because Livi, completely delighted, squeeked, "Heyooo, Yuuuke!" A few seconds and a big thud later, down they came hand in hand. So cute!
Luke is such a smart tender-hearted little guy. I can't imagine what I would do without him.

Are they cute or what?!!

It's My Purse!

You just try to convince her otherwise!

Mom's Got Skills!

I was giving Ami a bath in the basin of our pedestal sink in the bathroom. Ami was covered in sweet smelling suds when I realized that I had forgot to get a towel to dry her off after the funk was washed out of all her little crevases. I hollered for Luke who scampered up the stairs and returned with a fluffy white towel. My hero! When he arrived there was no place to put the towel so (in true mommy multi-tasker mode) I reached over and closed the toilet seat quietly with my very talented toes. Luke gasped and looking at me with awe and wonder said, "Mom, you got skills!" So let it be known far and wide...I've got skills! ;) Once again, my sweet little boy has made my day!

Furry Pink Pals

This is Livi. These are Livi's slippers. Livi LOVES her slippers. She refuses to take the furry pink slides off her tiny feet. The situation has become so severe at times that her feet reek if I forget to put socks on her. I have to negotiate to get her in the tub without them offering gifts in trade such as licorice. Even with the bribes her slippers must be visible to her at all times while she is in the tub.
My silly silly girl. She may be a princess yet.
